Exit from a holding / position

For my calls, exit price and hold time are all mentioned. So you do not need to decide or calculate, just act on it.

For other stocks, which has run up quite a bit or is rebounding and is just above your break-even price, you should exit near major resistance levels, unless the script has a strong long term growth story.

For stocks which you bought on some news, without much clue about the industry prospects or the company's business (not an advisable thing to do, but most of us do this...), you should start considering exiting if you have a notional profit of 15-20%.

Dear sir,

This mail intends to address the perennial problem of greed and fear, because of which most of the time we end up with wrong exit choices. In the past I had fantastic notional gains in number of scripts which were wiped out because of no exit decision in place.

Can you please enlighten us with the art of making exit decisions, may be some advice on the same. exit decision This may help a lot of your followers going forward.
