On Aug 23rd, about a month back, I had mentioned: "PNB Gilts should stay near 25-26, I dont see a reason why it should go up beyond this level because it is fairly valued at present."
However, PNB GILTS rose from 24-26 to about 40.1 today. Some of you have asked me why? The reason is something has changed from 1 month back and a new situation has evolved. Which is: The government has increased FII limit in government and corporate bonds by USD 5 billion each and PNB Gilts is likely to benefit from this development.
